This is a very simple yet elegant craft for your kids to create for the Christmas season.  All you need is Elmer’s glue, glitter, paper towel cardboard rolls cut into even strips, paper plates and glue gun.  1213171911.jpg

First, cut your cardboard rolls into even strips.  I used four cardboard rolls.  If you want intricacy, it’s best to have plenty of cardboard strips on hand.

Next, create different snowflake designs by using a glue gun to piece the cardboard strips together.

Use paper plates-one for Elmer’s glue, and another for glitter.  We used two different colored glitter.

Take your cardboard snowflake design and dip it in glue first, then dip in glitter.

You can use yarn or pipe cleaners to hang your snowflakes on your Christmas tree.  My girls were very happy with their creations!  Merry Christmas!!
