I am praising the Lord and looking forward to another great homeschool year!  As you may already know, we use the Easy Peasy curriculum.  It is a free online Christian curriculum that gives you the option to purchase readers and workbooks.  You also have the option to purchase the lesson printables, or download and print them yourself.  I am doing a little of both with my kids this year.

I’m not an expert on organization, but I do like to have a place for everything and everything in its place.  As the bible says, “Let all things be done decently and in order” (1Cor. 14:40 KJV).  It took me some years to purchase/gather/organize my school supplies to where I like to keep them.  (See my post about my school closet.)

Below is how I set up planners for my three daughters.

Our theme is purple this year.  I use a 1.5 inch 3-ring binder and insert a “school picture” on the cover.

The following are the scope/sequence and subject descriptions I printed off the website.  You can find them here.

And then I insert a checklist and grading sheet.  The website already does that for you, (the creator of Easy Peasy, Lee Giles, added a feature called MY EP Assignments that will automatically track your child’s progress). I like it a lot and use it, but I still like to use good ol’ pen and paper.

I can’t wait to see what my kids will accomplish this year.  I give all the praise and glory to God.
